The Typical Problem

You may have 1,000 or 15,000 suppliers.  You may receive 5,000 or 100,000 monthly invoices.  Regardless, if you’ve deployed EDI or another e-invoicing network solution, chances are you’ve been able to convince only a small portion of your suppliers to send invoices electronically.

The reason?  Other solutions rely on EDI or “EDI-like” supplier integrations.  These integrations require suppliers to assign IT resources, cost $1,000 or more to start, and take weeks if not months to deploy. 

When suppliers reject the above solutions, the suppliers are told to type invoices into a web portal.  Can you imagine the perspective of a supplier?  They have the invoice data in their existing billing system and then are required to do double-entry and re-type the invoice!  As you would suspect, any supplier that sends more than a few invoices each month strongly objects to such requests.
